You're about to paste a list of your clients' company numbers into a tool from a supplier you don't know yet. Here's exactly what happens to that list.
Only the Companies House public register: the Companies House public data API, and where the API is silent, the public find-and-update officers page. For each company number you give us: its registered directors, their appointment dates, their identity verification status, and the company's confirmation statement date. Every one of these facts is already public — anyone can look up the same page by hand.
No database, no client list, no account. There is nothing to log into, because there is nothing kept behind a login. Your report exists only in the URL you were given — we never save a copy of it.
The one exception: to avoid hammering the public register with repeat requests, the raw Companies House data behind each company number is cached for 24 hours. That cache holds the same public facts anyone could look up themselves, and it expires automatically — it is not a record of who ran which report, and it isn't tied to you or your practice.
Your ledgers, your practice management system, your client files, your email — nothing you own is ever connected to. This tool doesn't ask for a login because it doesn't need one; it reads a public register and shows you what it says.
Because the report is stateless, the company numbers you entered live in the link itself — not on our servers. That means anyone who has the link can open the report. Treat report links the way you'd treat a client list: don't paste them anywhere public, and don't forward them casually. We do not send report links, company numbers, or anything from them to any analytics or tracking service.
Every director shown on a report is a real, named person. That is personal data, even though the source register is public. We take that seriously: this page is our privacy notice for that data, and there is a named contact below if you have a question or a concern about it.
We never state a director is "not verified" from the mere absence of a status — Companies House's own verification field is newly introduced and its population lags the website by days in places. Where the record is genuinely silent, we say unknown, list it separately, and tell you to check manually — never a guess dressed up as a fact.
Verification status reflects what the register showed at the moment of retrieval — it can change daily, and every report carries its retrieval timestamp. This is not legal or regulatory advice; you and your clients remain responsible for your own filings.
